A rainy day; a no-pressure, chilled, slow kind of day. Bliss!

Heading into town for dinner, I found myself opposite this rather imposing building and wondered about its origin.

Blackwood Miners Welfare Institute. A suitably strong and important looking building for that purpose. Built in 1925.
