Lycrafest

It was the LiDBA 25 mile charity bike ride today and this was the scene behind me in the starting queue (yes, number 810 is wearing a pink tutu). My friend Kyla and I went round in two and a quarter hours (Kyla would have taken less time but kindly waited for me at the top of Rogate and Lynchmere hills). Son1 sped round with his friends and sent me a text to say he'd made it home, long before I reached the finish line. I only started doing the ride in the first place because he wanted to when he was ten years old and we've done it ever since. As is traditional, the Easy Riders met up afterwards at The Anchor for beer, crisps and post-ride banter. And that's it for another year.
