Close up

A walk on the beach this morning with a close-up inspection of the pools and structure of the rocks.  

Extras also added of swallows, another in-camera ND shot of the waves.  A yacht rescue close to a Ilfracombe harbour and muscles and seaweed.

This afternoon we went to Ilfracombe for JJ to catch up with his old friend, while I pottered around the periphery of the town, which looks increasingly in decline.  At least there was a little bit of excitement when the lifeboat went across the harbour to rescue a stricken yacht.

Tomorrow JJ wants to go back to Ilfracombe to photograph some of the old buildings, and then we’re going to pack up and travel home in the evening, hopefully finding the journey up and around Bristol will be a little less busy.  Getting from Barnstaple through Tiverton also has roadworks, so it could be a long journey.
