Quod oculus meus videt

Wash Brook Pool Mists

Gosh, it was cold this morning.  For the first time this autumn I wished I'd hand my beanie on my head as I walked out.

The mists were drifting over local fields and I went down to this pool to see what was happening. I disturbed both a heron and buzzard as I walked into the field.  The warmth of the scene was in stark contrast to how I felt.

Although there is no public footpath I walked out in the direction of the image, back to the local road, before heading back to the car and to start my day's work.
