Northern Exposure

The hen house is looking smart now that it's been given a fresh coat of wood stain .

The old house is gradually falling to bits (although not as fast as we expected) and closed up but somehow they manage to get in every now and again and hide their eggs in there.

The grass is mown to keep the weeds down so that the hens don't get lost in the undergrowth and can bask in the sunshine. (The ducks prefer short grass too)

The old plastic bin you can see just poking out of the cow parsley is the favoured place to nap the afternoon away.

BUT the hens are nowhere to be seen... because they are spending most of their time sabotaging the veg patch and terrorising the cats.
