And then we were home!

From 33C to minus 3C in 9 days!
We arrived home after driving a bit over 700 kms today. We’d thought about staying out one more night and arriving home in daylight tomorrow, but when we were about 250 kms away it felt silly to stop. The roads were familiar, fairly empty of traffic, and the weather had improved. There was snow by the side of the road but that wasn’t going to intimidate us!
We got home to find the house a rather chilly 6C, but set the central heating going and lit the wood burner. I’m writing this in front of that stove still wearing my down jacket! Hot water bottles tonight!
It may be chilly at home, and we may have had a wonderful month of travelling, but it’s still lovely to be home!!
