Sally Mair - Loving life

Chinese Knob Geese

I had a wonderful night's sleep last night and my first long lie for over a week. So good a sleep in fact that we slept through two very dramatic thunderstorms!
We headed into the local village after breakfast and sat in a very pretty cafe with pomegranate and citrus trees amongst the tables and a vine, laden with black grapes, over head.
We passed these geese on our way back, they were rather handsome and very noisy.
After lunch we went back down to the beach for a swim. It's so nice to swim in the sea once more.
Market day tomorrow so we are thinking of catching the dolmus along to have a wander. News of storm Ciaran sounds rather worrying I hope everyone is ok. Our house sitter says the house is surviving thus far.
