The Land of Living Skies

Rain clouds chased us all
along the highway today.
A prairie sky "lives".

Each Saskatchewan license plate states "Land of Living Skies". There is nothing like a prairie sky. Without the bookends of mountains that I'm accustomed to, the sky is deep and vast. One can watch the weather progress over many,many miles (kilometres). There is a saying that one can look out the door on the prairies and see what the weather will be like for the next several days. We travelled the trans-Canada Highway today heading west from Yorkton, SK into Alberta. The sky was amazing to watch as we bobbed in and out of thunder showers.
