Water Heating - Wetback

There are times that I curse the work and mess of a fire - the wood stacking, the filling the wood bin, the wood chips, dust, ash and general dirt.

But, on bitter dreary days like today, there is nothing better than the illusion of warmth you get from a crackling fire. On those days, I love it.

And I love the fact that it's heating my hot water without electricity - and to a temperature that goes way beyond the 'safe' mode and means I can have a hot deep bath this evening AND that the water will be hot enough in the morning to add reasonable pressure to my pathetic shower pressure.

Ahhhh.

A cliched winter blip I know, but today has been too lousy to think of going outside to take any photos.
