Fallen

Fallen from the avenue of plane trees in Évora, where we went again today, for various reasons.

Decided to stay and watch "Napoleon". OK if you like loads of endless battle scenes, which I don't, and weird sex scenes, which again, I don't. So, sorry, Ridley Scott, but didn't enjoy it. Especially in these times, just depressing, really. How do nations end up idolising brutal men??

Shame, though, that we couldn't get together and exile a few of the present ones to St Helena.

Gratefuls:
- lunch at A Choupana, too long since we ate there
- getting everything done that we went to do
- an interesting walk across wasteland while we waited for the film to start
