Mrs W’s Progress . . .
It seems so long ago that I made the ‘environmental control’ for Mrs W’s resin curing contraption, and she has experimented with so much using different compounds and moulds, but she has never been satisfied until now.
She has finally found a compound that works without leaving the cast with loads of bubbles, and has produced this ‘skull with snake’. She had a little bit of compound left over so she made the other bits at extras as well. The little thimble is a double achievement as she also made the mould, and you can read the writing in the rim.
Today I got the joint on for tomorrow by six this morning. It should have been a couple of kilos of brisket from our butcher but I wound up with a half price joint of what possibly is brisket from Sainsburys (at half price!!). Currently in the slow (multi) cooker surrounded by a third of a bottle of red wine, onions, carrots and mushrooms etc, all to make a good (I hope) gravy tomorrow.
