Happy New Year.

After a beautiful day weather wise, this evening, just in time for all the celebrations, the storms started.

About 9.30 pm a fire engine and a load of police turned up down the road.  No idea what was going on.  We'd heard a lot of bangs, but presumed it was fireworks.

Earlier in the day we went for a walk with the dog and saw a lot more trees down.

Then I took the girls and Alexandra down to the local swimming pool.  Not many people in the pool, but a lot of people in the centre as it's a Disaster Recovery Centre.

The library was also open so people could sit in the air-con.

Anyway I hope you've all had a good New Year, let's hope for a better 2024.
