Another reason we come to Skye, the great walking. And we do generally get lucky with with the weather, so the circular coast walk from Talisker (not home to the Talisker distillery, more of which in a later blip) to Fiskavaig was done in baking sun for the most part. It was one of those days where the tar on the road was melting!

Some of the wildlife came out to play for us as well, everything from the usual scruffy sheep, to a first cuckoo sighting (you hear them all the time, but we hadn't seen one until now). Oh, and peacocks (inexplicably at least a dozen of them at the farm we passed at the start of the walk) and some less easily identifiable birds. The views up and down the coast were simply spectacular.

A good start to the holiday all told, but the weather is supposed to break at some point...
