Saxifraga cochlearis minor

A true alpine gem but a fiend to photograph. I've been trying for years to get a really good pic of this ..... and I'm still trying! The rosettes of tiny lime encrusted leaves are just over 1cm across, making a tight cushion they are creeping slowly over the edge of a trough I made many years ago.

I'll not be seeing this one on my weekend jaunt to the alps in a few days time but with the late spring there should be plenty of flowers ... if the weather relents.
