Tiny ice climber

There was a frost last night but as the temperature was just -1C after a very mild day, there was no chance of finding real ice for this tiny ice climber. Sadly, he will just have to be satisfied with his everlasting plaster ice on our living room wall.

There has been progress with the sewing project today but it could be some time before it is complete as it involves a lot of hand sewing, the material not being suitable for machine sewing.

Last night’s earthquake seems to have hit the headlines as its effects were felt as far away as 50 kilometres. Even more interesting is that the epicentre was Dervaig, our local village, with the focus (origin of the quake) 7 kilometres deep in the earth’s crust below us. I haven’t yet found anything about the cause.
