Sally Mair - Loving life

Good Company

Today it rained!
We drove up to near Perth today to pick up a coffee table I found on Gumtree. Having failed miserably to find anything in any of the shops, I was very pleased to find this one second hand. It's a stained oak and looks like it has been handmade. It was worth the not very pleasant drive to buy it. (See extra).
After we got back I dropped off some stuff at the charity shop, then, channelling blipper Blethers, I did some shopping.
When I got home, S, C's cousin was visiting which was nice.
I took some things down to Katy, the girls are very happy to have a week's holiday now.
Next task was to collect my sister from Haymarket, she's here for the rugby. I'm not sure where you are supposed to go to pick up someone from Haymarket these days. All the parking spaces have been removed. Public transport is all very well, but no buses from Haymarket come near to us, so she'd need to change at the West End while managing her luggage.... and I grudge paying for a taxi .
If I was the Lord Provost I'd be driving around in this very flash car which escorted me from Barnton to Corstorphine today. Don't get me started on what they are doing to Corstorphine
