Mike took this today when he went over to the house. The floor in the existing house is just mush so has to be dug out and concreted. We're not sure how far the mush goes, hopefully not right into the front of the house. Our sofa was sat on that (on top of a filthy brown carpet) last week!! Another extra job for the builders (and more ££)

Struggling to source a front door we like. We've decided for practical reasons we need a composite door but all the ones I like are hardwood and on a 24 week lead time. We don't have that long as the door needs to be in before they do the render in a couple of weeks time. We're hoping we can just get the glass from the hardwood company and the door as composite in a similar style but not sure it's possible. Don't want to compromise on such a big focal point and come home every day and think if only we got that door. Mike is going to ring the hardwood co tomorrow and see if we can put the stained glass in a composite door.  It's been frustrating trying to search for stuff as the hospital internet is a bit slow. The meds are all kicking in now and I'm so desperate to go home but exhausted as it's impossible to sleep in here.
