The birds seem to enjoy the almond arch too, which is coming into blossom.

Spent half the day feeling grumpy about the performative nature of International Women’s Day. Seems like a third of the energy is “what about International Men’s Day”, and the rest is arguing about what it even means to be a women. Like that was ever in dispute other than in the hallowed halls of Berkeley’s gender studies department.

And it was with a certain irony that I spent the time listening to an IWD seminar (which is why this was on my mind today, not Friday) unpacking my new vacuum. Which I can happily report five days later I still adore. Complicated business, womaning.
