Ribbons and Buttons..

… In the craft shop.
I couldn’t resist a return trip. (Cakes or Crafts, it’s a win both ways).

I overheard a conversation on the bus:
‘We’re going on a cruise’.
‘That’s nice’.
‘I’m not thinking about it. I’m a bit nervous’.
‘Well.. Try not to think about the Titanic. Not very many accidents happen on boats really…’
There was a pause.
‘…Though I did once fall out of a dinghy into the North sea’.

I think if you wanted ideas for a novel you could do a lot worse than take a regular bus trip.
