Just Desserts

I’m glad I had a plan of action for another day of drizzle and overwhelming greyness. Spring may have sprung, the equinox may be upon us but nobody told the weather gods. Fortunately, the Merry Widows had a rendezvous planned for lunch at Café Andaluz in GeorgeIV Bridge. One of our members had a voucher for 2 people, already paid for, which included 5 tapas, 2 sangrias and a dessert. Since there are 3 of us we added another tapas and a dessert to the order and with a little bit of maths involved split the bill accordingly.  It might have been drizzling outside but we were warm and well fed inside.

When our discussion turned to emission zones, the couple next to us overheard and told us what it costs them travelling from Devon to visit parents in Central London and having to pay the charge levied per day. That didn’t make us feel any better, but the ice cream sundaes and the panda cotta in the blip did!
