Silvery swimmers
In fact, we were six for a surprisingly pleasant swim at Shandwick this morning. I awoke to quite heavy rain, and the very cold wind was pretty much consistent all day. But precisely when we were swimming there was almost some sunshine, although it was just starting to rain as we were getting dressed. Overall, a super swim, as ever, and an opportunity to bob around a bit, and swim a bit, with a high tide that meant while the entry was stony, the beach dropped away quickly into swimmable territory.
At lunchtime we enjoyed an excellent zoom with Barrioboy and Digitaldaze, catching up after a long time.
And then this afternoon, we made our first visit of the year to Scotsburn Garden Centre. I've suffered quite a high loss of house plants over the winter, so I wanted to get a few new ones. And Mr A bought the first tranche of new plants for the back. Hopefully we can get these in the ground in the next couple of days. I did manage a bit of weeding later on. The front bed is a mess.....
I have felt more relaxed today than for a couple of weeks. More precisely, probably since the weekend before last when we were up here enjoying the company of friends, an excellent concert and some swimming. In the end, because of our troubles we have also spent the subsequent two weekends up here unexpectedly. That's not a bad thing, but it wasn't what we planned for. As a result, for one reason or another, a lot of things are in the wrong place, and we need the next few days to sort all of that out, including a trip in the car back to Edinburgh for a short stay.
