Strathbungo gushets

Two gushet tenements here.
The grand one in the left is Salisbury Quadrant. Designed in 1879 by Robert Turnbull who was in partnership with Alexander "Greek" Thomson until his death in 1875. It has many of the markings of Thomson but less refined.
On the right a plainer tenement designed in 1880 by the same architect. Two interesting reminders of earlier occupiers of the building are shown. One is a ghost sign of William Bennie & Sons Butcher who had a shop there until at least 1903 and the other is Nivens Motor Engineers who was on the right of the gushet from 1929.
More information on these two here.
