Nithsdale Mission Hall ...

... as it was originally called back in 1887. Designed by Alexander Skirving in "Thomsonesque" style. He had been an admirer of Thomson and had designed several buildings to emulate his work.
After a fire in the building in 2006, it was bought from the council, has now been extensively restored and is converted to housing.
On Nithsdale Drive, just round the corner from yesterday's buildings, this little gem is B listed.
More history of the building including the original architect's plans here.
Some photos here detailing the condition of the building before restoration started.
