Saturday

Mr C was off to rugby and I suggested to Lucy that we went out for lunch as she is going away for a couple of days and won’t be here for her birthday.

We decided to eat in Wimbledon village and then popped up to town to visit the National Portrait Gallery.  I have membership and she had seen an exhibition advertised only to realise once there that it starts in June.

We grabbed a couple of pictures in Trafalgar Square of the Palestinian March before going into the gallery.  A nice wander (although Lucy was struggling a bit as it was really quite warm, in the gallery but also lovely outside too….. and she is very unfit!!).  I then took her to a cafe that sells delicious cakes only to find that did not sell one nut free cake so after an expensive cold drink we headed back to the station stopping to get an ice cream.
