Me and Eva had a lovely ride through the woods this morning. Nice and quiet.

Continued with the painting this afternoon. Managed to fall from the top of the step ladder. Was at full stretch doing the cutting in at the very top of the sloping roof in the kitchen and lost balance and the whole thing toppled sideways. I'm a bit sore and now even more scared of ladders!! 

To add to all the other things we have to do someone managed to whack the wing mirror on my van right through the side window (the small triangle one). They did leave a note but now we have the hassle of sorting that out on top of everything else and I spent ages cleaning up all the tiny fragments of glass out of the cab. 

And the electric water heater we have been relying on since we lost the boiler in January has decided to pack up so we have no hot water and we're back to showering at our friend's house (as well as having no heating! It only needed to last one more week as our new heating system is being sorted next week. 

We do now have a downstairs loo - doesn't have a door or a basin or obscure glass in the window (thanks to useless window man who still hasn't delivered our door either grrr!) 

Despite it all, I still don't regret it. I had my tea break in the garden in the sunshine and took stock of what we have. It's going to be brilliant when it's finally finished!!
