The Gazweasel Times

Hot border

I've spent a rather lot of the day in the garden (particularly nice, given summer decided to visit). I planted up some bidens (our bedding plant of choice) with a coleus (trusty rusty) dotted here and there. We think they make a lovely contrast. For those that don't know...the biden is the yellow flower and the coleus is the leafy thing next to it.

I also planted a couple of Alstroemerias, which will look fantastic when they bloom. Note that the flower in the link has yellow petals while ours has red ones.

Then, in the ex-nettle bed, I dotted a few snapdragons around and a beautiful Dahlia Dannevirke. After yellow roses, I think dahlias are my favourite flowers.
