The assault in the remaining Munros continues

After a good night's sleep at the cheap and cheerful Waverley Inn, we exited Dingwall and headed west thru Contin, Garve, Achnasheen and wound up at  Kinlochewe.

Ross from yesterday was there and we agreed to chum each other. Although not without some trepidation.  He was aiming for Munro #11 of the weekend. I figured he might be tired enough for me to keep up with!!!

She chummed us along the side of Loch Maree and 5km in as the gradient ramped up, She baled out and left the three of us to it.

A more demanding day than yesterday,  and cloudier too. The summit always seemed happed in mist (Michael Marra reference) as the cloud seemed to be just sitting on the summits and no more.

Sure enough,  we arrived in clag,  grabbed a bite and contemplated whether to sit tight and see if the view appeared as the forecast suggested. It didn't. We set off around the horseshoe summit and got views north (see blip) Should we head back and see it a view appears? Oh go on then. We got most of the way back up and realised it might but it might not. Conscious of my 4.5 hour drive home, we reluctantly abandoned a summit view and scuttled homewards.

A stop for chips at Bruar, fuel at Perth and home in rain by 1030.
