(dining) room with a view

Anniemay and I had delicious anniversary dinner 14 floors up.  This is the view looking East from a rather tall building in Milton Keynes.  Buildings this high are the exception here.

Right in the middle of the main picture is a white pointy thing.  You might have to squint bit to see it.  A few years ago, I blipped blipper Porkybrown blipping it.  See extra.

The second extra shows the view looking West.  The main street is called Midsummer Boulevard, because at midsummer the solstice lines up from the white pointy thing, all the way down to the train station in the far distance.

The third extra shows what a German architect in 1968 thought MK might look like in the 1970s. You have to bear in mind that when Anniemay and I moved here in the 1970s, this was all fields.  No buildings, no train station and certainly no pointy thing.

He got most of it right.  There's even a sort of pointy thing at the bottom of the frame.
