A day in the life

Bergman

It's been a productive rehearsing day, a good walk and in the evening a visit to Kalmar  to see a play, based on one of Ingmar Bergmans films; "Det sjunde inseglet", 'The seventh seal', one of Bergmans darkest films, dealing with death, the plague and doubts about a God. It was very funny, hilarious even.

The company, of three actors wearing clowns noses, call them selves 1-2-3-Schtunk ( the name implies the pep talk some groups use before entering the stage for a performance). There is a script somewhere, a loose storyline based on key events in the film but they play it by using improvisation, interaction with the audience, music and they very often loose themselves in hilarious side tracks and whims, sometimes they even follow the script. They've performed over twenty years and their way of acting is well known to the audience and their performances are always sold out. "Every evening is unique" is their slogan. Other plays they've done are fx Romeo and Juliet, King Lear and a lot of super serious Swedish classics.
