Going, going... gone!

Fuji lives in hope of table treats, but there's nothing for him today.

Ian made onigiri with miso soup for our lunch, followed by cake by Cedric Grolet at The Berkeley (see extras).

Ongiri are rice balls packed with different ingredients and normally packed into a Bento box for lunch. Ours were mixed with seaweed (beautiful umami flavour) and others with pickled Japanese plums (OK in small quantities). 

The cakes were a gift to Ken which he shared with us. They were massive, so we only shared the vanilla cream one (top right in my picture). Cedric's website doesn't say how much they cost but I recon upwards of £20 each.
