The visit of a Black 5 – no. 44871 on the viaduct

The final leg of a week long tour of the British rail network brought this engine through Stroud and up the Golden Valley. I haven't felt well but managed to get to this location near Waitrose, so it was an easy walk. I decided to film it using the video on my new iPhone at its base settings to see how well it worked.

I took a screen shot of a single frame from the video, but if you want you can watch it in real time crossing the viaduct here on YouTube. Unfortunately I haven't yet learnt how to adjust the exposure settings of video but I'm sure I'll get there.
