Lights. Water. Action

My last heritage event today but the bus connections weren’t optimal and I had a long wait outside the National Library. Perfect for capturing the fountains, and this hero popped in the frame at an opportune moment.

I was enroute to the Heritage Library where there were two talks connecting history and fiction. Susan Ackroyd spoke about her work on the political history that informed British nursery rhymes. Then, a panel of local authors discussed their own approaches to historical fiction, one of whom has written a lot of children’s works inspired (and published) by the National Library.
