Busy

We had a leisurely breakfast, I got a load of washing on, then we walked down to town to sort yet more books.  We stayed until 2pm then walked home and had a bite to eat.  MrM went to do the shopping, I brought in the washing and put fresh linen on the bed, then blended the soup MrM made yesterday.  After that it was time to prepare and eat supper.  By the time we’d tidied up another day was almost over.  Just time for a glass of wine and a catch up with blip.

My sister called during the evening to say that our uncle’s wife (our aunt by marriage) had passed away today.  She has been in care for around three and a half years and has been ill with Covid for the last week.  Our uncle will be most upset - he was the most devoted husband you could imagine.

I rather liked the shadows cast by the bridge railings on opposite sides of the road - one side rather more splendid than the other.
