The Local Moai…

…I always think ‘Easter Island’ as we drive by.

The Elderly One battles on.
On a lovely ward now, thank goodness, my heart sings at the care received today.
(And the kindness I received too).
Yesterday, it was all, shrugs, ‘that’s not my job’ and turning tail.
Today was easy helpfulness and warm replies. Himself pointed out to me, they didn’t actually tell me anymore today than they did yesterday (owing to there being fewer staff over Bank Holiday) but somehow I feel so much better about what I still don’t know!

Hmm. You only have to spend a few hours on a hospital ward to completely lose touch with the outside world don’t you?
