Cupboard Love

"Did I ever tell you," asked Mo last night, "that when I was a kid, during the winter I used to sleep in the cupboard in my mum and dad's room?"

I replied that it was probably something I'd have remembered.

Apparently, they had a big press where she'd have her bed made up on a bedding chest. In winter it was simply a much warmer place to sleep.

It sounded like child cruelty to me, but Mo seemed to remember it quite fondly. She also thought it wasn't that unusual, that her pals at school did the same sort of thing.

Do any other blippers have similar tales to tell?
