Roll With It

Close But No Coconut

A family breakfast starts the day, those travelling from Woking meet at an old style ‘greasy spoon’ for a fry up.
Taxi then from Woking to Twickenham, not quite the expense it sounds, little more than the train fare, no changing, quicker and infinitely more comfortable.
Deposited at the Stoop car park we walked round to the Albany public house to meet up with those who had travelled from Farnborough, including my brother Gary, great to see him.
The Albany car park is the setting for today’s photograph and shows how the family numbers attending have increased from just my father and I in 1991/92.
Good seats for one of the best Navy v Army matches I have seen, the Navy led 25-3 at half time but lost in the last minute 42-43.
The sun shone, we drank way too much and had a simply marvellous time as we always do.
Back to the Stoop for the return journey to Woking where Sam and I grabbed another beer or two before a Nando’s dinner and another early night.

It’s been another good Navy v Army match
