Seeking shade in the woods

We woke up to a thick mist this morning, but by 8am it had burned off and it became a very hot day today with sunshine all day. When walking in the woods with Xena it was necessary to seek shade as it felt rather hot.

We had a very good session at golf today, we worked on iron play and I managed to iron out (cheesy pun intended!) the problem I had when I played on the weekend. Our coach is excellent, after watching you hit one or two balls he can immediately tell what the problem is and helps you tweak your swing to eliminate the problem, and I was then hitting perfectly. If only I could remember that exact swing when on the golf course! It got so hot at golf, we were baking in the sunshine but we all said no complaining as we have been waiting forever for the weather to warm up. A cappuccino was enjoyed afterwards by our group of ladies and we always have an interesting discussion over coffees, today it was the UK elections that are coming up (we don't know when but sometime this year) and who to vote for. We will undoubtedly have a change of government but none of us have any confidence that will be any better!

I am shortly going up to London, Gavin booked tickets to see Harry Clarke as someone highly recommended it to Gavin. I made Tommy's supper for him so at least when he gets home from work he will have dinner ready. The trains were running okay this morning so hopefully I won't have any problems this evening. The train strikes are affecting different lines on different days and today our line is meant to be okay.

The good weather is set to last all week and into the weekend, at last we have summer weather.
