Molly’s House

Yet another day of memories.
Took a road trip with my brother and sister in law to the home towns of my parents and grandparents.
First call was Knighton after a drive over the beautiful Shropshire hills and through miles of green countryside. Knighton is just in Wales, a small, sleepy town at the centre point of Offas Dyke. We had a wander round passed the house of one set of grandparents(picture), and then the other. And then on to the cemetery to hunt for the gravestones -felt pleased to find some of the family. But that led to questions about where others were buried!
Next stop was Stanton Lacey, back in Shropshire on the outskirts of Ludlow. Another cemetery- this time a bit easier to find the graves and also spotted various other relatives.
My brother was quite the tour guide - having a much better memory of times with our grandparents, who the various relatives are (were), and where they lived!
Final stop - Ludlow for a very late lunch, beer and shops. All on the sunniest day so far. Exhausted when we got home!
