Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

The first ....

.... but definitely not the last.

Another lovely day.  Joe came in the morning, because he wanted to get the ground around the pond flattened, raked and seeded with grass before the rain next week.

We went in to New Ross briefly, to get a few bits, including some tree stakes, and some summer bedding to plant around the pond for this year.  I want a display of foxgloves and ferns in front of the ditch, we were on the lookout for foxglove plants - but had to buy seeds, which of course won't flower this year.

Then in the afternoon I had an extra band practice - the concert is next week, and there seems to be a lot of work still to do on many of the pieces.

This is one of the first to flower of many allium bulbs planted in the "pond bed".  Behind it is a geum with lovely red flowers.

Having finished the Netflix series we've been watching (Lupin), we had to choose something new this evening - Netflix suggested a series called Bodkin, and the first episode was fun, we look forward to the rest.
