Not really listening to the music

But enjoying lying on the grass (still damp) alongside the fragrant wallflowers and forgetmenots.

Charnwood Borough Council has resumed its programme of bandstand concerts in Queen's Park in Loughborough, even doubling the number so that there will now be two concerts a month during the summer.

We took our two camp chairs and resumed our usual spot under the trees, just in case it began to rain. It didn't, I'm pleased to say. Lots more people there today compared with last year and even last year it was busy.

The tulips that I photographed two to three weeks ago have all been removed leaving the flower beds full of lovely sweet smelling wallflowers.

It was the Student Classical Concert Band today. A programme that featured Glenn Miller, naturally, through the Beatles to mix of film and theatre favourites. Just maybe one of the bands will play the theme from the Mandalorian again.
