Crescent moon over Nobbys

I have to confess I have taken a similar shot to this the last three mornings but the moon has always been too high in the sky for my liking. The sunrise has been similar each day with a band of orange at the horizon and not a cloud in the sky.

I was joined by two other photographers later on, a collection of cyclists at the pavilion and a family with two children in their dressing gowns and pjs not to mention the myriad of joggers and walkers. We all enjoyed the sunrise. The Hs got a stretch at the dog beach where there was a pod of pelicans catching bait fish, that is until Hamish chased them away.

A swing by the beaches spotted one whale and then back home and then on to the Delta training day for our new volunteers. They all seem so excited and a nice bunch. All in all, a good day.
