Lister Square

I’m so glad I made the most of the sunshine yesterday because today is definitely not very inviting and there is a chill in the air. It doesn’t seem to have put off some of the young people who are out sitting on the Meadows, but certainly not in the numbers of yesterday. The pesky NE wind never seems to give up, bringing with it cloud and haar to the east coast.

The coven of Merry Widows convened at 10am in Söderberg and were still there at 12:30. For some reason the café wasn’t busy so our lengthy stay didn’t prevent anyone from getting a table.
We were entertained by the activity in Lister Square outside. It is a space that has become a magnet for roller skaters of all ages and tots on bicycles. Today there was a very energetic pogo stick bouncer who seemed very efficient at not falling off. Glasgow daughter, no crash helmet or knee guards, once fell off hers and hit her forehead on the ground producing an alarming egg shaped bump.  Had that happened today with 40 years more experience I would have her checked out, but as it was back then,  I applied a cold compress and sent her to school. She lives to tell the tale.
