The Pensioner

Sunday up town

A row/sail event had been planned, but on a grey morning with no wind, there was little interest. So off we stepped up town, just as the weather was, ”coming away nice.” And the RSA Annual Exhibition was open for a perusal. Much to enjoy, as ever. And a new word: sensorium.
Thomson & Craighead make artworks that explore the changing socio-political structures of the Information Age. In particular they have been looking at how the digital world is ever more closely connected to the physical world becoming a geographical layer in our collective sensorium.
I will need to remember that one; I may drop in casually on Wednesday at the Gents Philosophical Soc.
Then on to the Omni to see Hoard, by the young British director, Luna Carmoon. I wanted to applaud it but the ending was too unbelievable. A bit of a leap after what had come before. No spoilers, obvs.
