The Sigma 30 f2.8 Prime

Oh Gawd. Hobbs has bought another new toy. (sigh) I am really happy (as most of you already know) with my OMD EM5 but one of the weather-sealed kit's shortcomings is the relatively bulky and slow 12-50 lens. I recently read some marvellous reviews of the new Sigma 30mm f2.8 prime which translates to a "full frame" equivalent focal length of 60mm. Always a sucker for a good review, I ordered one.

It promises to give me two stops of extra pace (at this focal length), a good deal less bulk and weight PLUS some razor sharp results. It should be good for portraits but still short enough for general use. I shall be out exercising it over the next few days. I'll let you know how it works out.
