Pomelo Versus Orange

The orange in the foreground is a nice, normal sized fruit, but the pomelo is extraordinarily huge! The fruit alone weighs almost 800gr and the skin was 420gr on top of that, in total 1.42kg! Boy, that's a huge one, I peeled it for us tonight, even had to take each segment out of it's membrane because the skin of each segment is so thick, you can't eat it! It is really very tasty as well! I can't find anything similar to this on any of the websites about pomelos though, I wonder whether it is just a pomelo? Can the clever people out there please advise?
