A Day of Two Halves

Last day in London and I had promised the girls a day round the shops. I have no idea where they get their shopping gene from as I can't bear it for more than about 42 seconds and their Dad must be the same as he seems to chose his clothes from a skip rather than an emporium .

Three hours of Oxford Street and Bond Street ( how does anyone real actually afford anything on Bond Street ? ) then we headed for Fortnum and Mason and had tonnes of luxury freebies (They didn't seem to notice my sneaking back three times to the sweet counter .... )

Then we were off to catch the tube for a meander around Hyde Park. A stunning relaxing park with such an array of views from the boaters to the cyclists to the roller bladers. This stretch of the lake was my favourite and its nothing to do with the fact that this is The Serpentine which completely coincidentally , honestly happens to be the stretch of water that The Brownlees stormed to Olympic success in last year .....
