Web debris

This spider was about 5cm across and in a huge web. I don't know what that bit of cotton's doing though, it must have blown in. Yesterday and today have been much windier than normal and with the wind coming from the west, which is unusual in the summer, it's been nice and cool. I even had to find a fleece to wear for dog-walking this morning.
