...on the dandy

when i first saw this - it was full and gorgeous - all fluffy and full - i was thinking it had all these beady little eyes staring at me - but then the wind came up while i was shooting it - poof - blowing some of it away...

just like that - my plan vanished - but not really - it simply gave me another opportunity to rethink - take stock - for in gazing at the dandy in its new form - i recognized tribal elements - a drum - imagined dancing around a fire - saying prayers - giving thanks - beating out a graceful tune... can you hear it?

listen carefully - glance closely - close your eyes - allow your other senses to take over - there is a gentleness here now - the wind blew away some of those other rough edges - what's left behind could be described as a soothing rhythm, if you step beyond the busyness of other stuff - which clutters your day-to-day - go ahead - drift with it for a moment - do some dandy drummin' - and make it...
