More half baked experiments

Instead of experimenting with my camera today we've mostly experimented with making a mess.

The Alka Seltzer and water in a 35mm film canister was particularly successful but far too explosive for me to capture.

This is the great beer bottle experiment.

The best part comes first, you have to empty the bottle of all beer. Then mix a combination of malt vinegar, food colouring and washing up liquid in the bottle before adding some bicarbonate of soda and watching it fizz out of the top. Not quite the vesuvius like eruption I was hoping for but still generated lots of "Whhhoooaaaahhhs" from the assembled throng.

If anyone has any other explosive experiments then let me know as I need to do an encore tomorrow.
