LED in the dark

Spent most of the day messing about with an old scrap computer. It had an ancient version of Red Hat Enterprise on it, and I decided to upgrade it to the latest version of Debian. As it's an antique I installed a light weight desktop on it and it seems to be working fine. Ten years ago it would have been a decent spare PC, now it's laughably obsolete and slow but I may be able to find a use for it doing something...

The blip is of one of the green LEDs on the motherboard. Older computers looks wonderfully complicated, modern boxes have fewer discrete parts as they are integrated on silicon and today one chip does what on this box would be done by three or four and an on something from the 70s would have taken dozens and dozens...
